WPS Health Solutions adding more than 100 positions in Wausau
Wausau office celebrates 15th anniversary in November
MADISON, Wis.—Nov. 5, 2018—WPS Health Solutions plans to fill more than 100 claims processing positions in Wausau, Wis., in the next four months because of the company’s expanded role in supporting TriWest Healthcare Alliance as it administers two programs for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
The announcement comes as WPS celebrates the 15th anniversary for the current Wausau office, which is in the Westwood Center at 1800 Westwood Center Blvd. The office, which opened in November 2003, currently has about 350 employees who either work there or are connected to it through the WPS Remote Worker Program.
“Our new round of hiring is another example of WPS’s commitment to the Wausau area,” said Brian Brugger, Executive Vice President of WPS Military and Veterans Health. “We value the contributions of our employees in Wausau and north-central Wisconsin. We look forward to adding to the Wausau staff to help with our expanded work with TriWest Healthcare Alliance and VA.”
To mark the Wausau anniversary, along with recent milestone anniversaries for offices in Marion, Ill., and Omaha, Neb., WPS employees in all offices held a celebration event on Oct. 31.
WPS currently supports TriWest Healthcare Alliance in administering the Patient-Centered Community Care (PC3) and Veterans Choice Program (VCP) for Veterans in three regions of the United States. VA gave TriWest Healthcare Alliance responsibility for the remaining three regions after another contractor’s agreement expired on Sept. 30.
TriWest Healthcare Alliance and WPS will ensure that Veterans have ready access to community care when needed until the next generation of community care contracts—Community Care Networks (CCN)—are awarded and implemented.

WPS also is adding positions in Southern Illinois for the VA expansion.
